Case Study · Branding & Web Design
Problem: A business coach was torn between two different niches, posting inconsistently to the point of burnout, and running a website that converted only a couple of times a year.
Solution: The Full SEEN Experience — market research to resolve the niche confusion, a messaging overhaul, a new "Grounded Authority" brand identity, and a website rebuilt to convert.
The Client
Jason is a business coach who helps small business owners at professional service firms — real estate, creative agencies, health and wellness, and beyond — get out from under the daily grind and lead instead of just manage. He brings nearly two decades of coaching experience, a background leading training and leadership development inside growing organizations, and a certification in energy healing that shapes his approach to the mindset side of the work.
Where the Business Was
Jason had real experience and a client roster that proved his coaching worked. What wasn't working was the story he was telling about it. His website was trying to serve two different audiences at once — solopreneurs who needed help with networking and sales, and small business owners with staff who needed help with time management and team leverage — and it didn't fully land with either one. It failed the three-second clarity test and converted only a couple of times a year.
His content followed the same pattern. He'd post in bursts — business strategy, time management, employee development, sales, mindset — then go quiet for weeks, burned out from a posting habit that wasn't generating much in return. His email list and lead magnets weren't converting either. Nearly all of his new business came from in-person networking, which meant growth was capped by how many rooms Jason himself could physically be in.
He knew he could take on significantly more clients if the marketing did its share of the work. It wasn't.
The Diagnostic
The site tried to speak to solopreneurs and staffed small businesses at the same time — two audiences with different problems and different language.
Jason wasn't confident his visuals were memorable or consistent, and the site itself wasn't sure it could pass a quick first impression.
In-person networking was carrying the business almost entirely, while the email list, lead magnets, and social posting produced next to nothing.
CTAs like "comment with a keyword" or "DM me" got little traction, and the website itself converted only a couple of times a year.
The Process
A five-day intensive, run against the same framework used to diagnose the gaps — moving from market research to a fully rebuilt, on-brand website in one week.
Targeted research to resolve the core blocker: which audience to build around. The research pointed clearly to small business owners with staff — the clients who needed help with time, team, and leadership, not just networking.
Rebuilt Jason's core message around three shifts — reclaiming time, building a savvy team, and mastering mindset — in his own language, with a content strategy built to be sustainable instead of a source of burnout.
Developed "Grounded Authority" — a brand direction built around deep green, warm terracotta, and sand, designed to feel like calm, steady leadership instead of hustle-culture coaching.
A full website rebuild around the new positioning, messaging, and brand — built to pass the three-second test and do real conversion work instead of just sitting online.
The Brand
"Steady leadership that creates calm, sustainable growth." A palette and identity built to feel trusted and human — not another hustle-culture coaching brand shouting for attention.
Jason's audience is already burned out and skeptical of anything loud. Deep green and terracotta read as steady and grounded rather than hyped, while the sand neutral gives the site room to breathe — signaling "you're safe here, and this will work" instead of pushing urgency.
The Result
The live site now opens with a single, unmistakable promise: “Scale Your Small Business Beyond Your Own Capacity.” It's written for exactly one audience — small business owners with a staff — and immediately names the three traps keeping them stuck: the Sole Rainmaker Trap, the Hand-holding Cycle, and the Internal Cost of holding it all together.
Three clear paths forward follow — Reclaim Your Time, Build a Savvy Team, and Master Your Mindset — each tied directly to the messaging framework developed during the sprint. A “My Story” section builds credibility in Jason's own voice, and real client success stories now do the trust-building the old CTAs never could.
The niche confusion that blocked growth for years is gone. The site knows exactly who it's for, and says so in the first three seconds.
